Floating market is famous in Thailand, especially at Damnoen Saduak situated about 130 km southwest of Bangkok. A popular day trip from Bangkok. We did get to tour this floating market when we were in Bangkok in April 2013.

The floating market at Damnoen Saduak is the old traditional way of selling vegetables, fruits,etc. from a small boat. Produce sold includes Malacca grape, Chinese grapefruit, mangoes, bananas, and coconut.
